Character Name: Rory

Character Position: Queen

Allegiance: Red Paws

Character History:
Rory is the unquestioned leader of the Red Paws. She demands and receives endless dedication from her clan.
Rory is the granddaughter of the wolf who led a war across all of the North, united the people into what is the Red Paws. Long after his death, Rory led a successful uprising to cease the throne of the Red Paws. She led a brilliant war against the remaining splinter groups in the North, Her bravery earned her place in the hearts of her people.
Rory now sits on the throne of the Red Paws with Giderah, building her great army, gathering the greatest treasures.
She is often accompanied by Shae, her advisor. (I will put him up for adoption soon)

Character Personality:
Rory is unpredictable. She is incredibly firey and tenacious. She doesn’t always sit back to watch the action and plunges right in. She takes great concern checking in on how the next generation is raised. That being said she becomes furious when rules are broken- especially the breeding laws. She becomes furious if her idea of the future hits any snags.

Why do you want to RP this character? The first roleplay I created, my personal character existed as the Alphess to a large clan like Rory and the Red Paws. It wasn't until my next RP that I stepped down a notch off that high throne down to a high-ranking officer of a large werewolf army (Pffft what a change right?). Long story short, I'm a fan of wolves in power and Rory's position, personality, and all-around character is extremely intriguing even though much hasn't been revealed of her in the Giderah comic. I've had a couple years experience roleplaying wolves in high-ranking positions, including the powerful Alphess, and will do the owner proud. I believe I can adapt well to Rory's set personality and roleplay her character in a way that would do her comic persona much justice.

Sample post as Character:
The male stepped forward, found the scents of the wolves, and carried on into the den of the Alpha couple. He folded his legs beneath him calmly as he sat, and looked around for her. And there she was. It was awkward, his eyes over hers, but he felt it would be intruding too much to lay and be even closer, so he let that go.

"What is it-" The female moaned, disturbed from her slumber. She had little mercy for those that did this but if it was one of her guards it had better have been important. After no response, she turned her head to face what was now recognized as an unknown intruder. Her hackles rose. The Alphess parted her lips and barked, "How is it that you've come into my chamber without the accompaniment of an authorized officer?"

"You're surprised I see. There are more where that came from." The brute chuckled. "Actually, I'm here to pledge my allegiance to a good pack. Are you their leader or at least a worthy one?" There was a bit of cunningness in his voice; he seemed to be joking around, though he knew the ruler of these lands was more serious from her strict calls. He tried to soften her anyway.

Rory stood to her feet, standing tall to assert herself. Her tail was held high and her ears forward, lips curled in a disgusted fashion at the foolish and scrawny male that entered her lair. Her fangs flashed fiercely as she scolded, "I am the Alpha of these lands and you will speak to me with respect!" she snarled. The muscles in her face relaxed as she composed herself. She cautiously walked toward the male, slowly pacing around him. "You are a young one, and arrogant at that. I hope you know what it takes to survive out here, pup. Insolence and carelessness will not be tolerated here, so you'd better watch yourself..." Rory warned dangerously, stopping in front of him. Her muzzle close to his, the Alphess challenged his nerve. Narrowed golden orbs glared into his, as if peering into his soul. "GUARDS-" the female's angered tone rumbled through the den site.

A heavy-set brute approached the scene. "Yes, Mi'Lady."

Rory remained unmoved, stiff legged before the foolish male. Her eyes remained locked on his and her spirit burned with fury. She seethed through her teeth, "Escort the newcomer out..." She began, then turning back to her nest, "And make sure this doesn't happen again. If he requests alliegiance with us again review the law with him, and have him escorted to the proper place for a proper introduction. I won't have this foolishness."

"Yes, Mi'Lady." The guard nodded, and the two males were gone. The female heaved a big sigh; it was nap time again.

[Sorry for all that. My fingers wouldn't stop typing... The first half was inspired by an actual scene from my first RP involving a silly newcomer and my Alpha character. The rest was impromptu.]

Why do you want to RP this character? I think Rory is a very awesome character overall. She seems to be a rule oriented leader who takes no bull from anyone. She reminds me of one of my first rp characters who was a strong female that was quick to put someone in their place. Not one of those helpless save me type characters at all but a general war leader through and through. Also I like to move plots along, and instigate things to get the ball rolling. I don’t care for when things stagnate too long and I have always aimed to check my rp’s twice a day, if I can’t reply to them all at once due to being late for work or whatever. I try to post for the one that most needs a reply in order to keep the story moving. That has nothing to do with the why I want to RP THIS character but yeah. I’m one to not wonder off when I know I have a character that is in need.

Sample post as Character:

Rory starred hard through eyes like the unforgiving sun as two of her soldiers escorted the brother, sister duo before her. They came in, unsure of their fate for they were captured trespassing Red Paw lands. A penalty they should of known meant death for any outsider. The stench of solitary wolves drifted off their disgusting pelts as the stray female lowered herself to the ground, eyes looking up at the legendary fae as if awaiting death it self. Which in all cases she probably was.

“ We seek acceptance into the pack, Alphess Rory. My brother and I that is.” The light voice of the fae asked. Rory looked to her with hardened eyes, so many a time had one dared to try to enter their pack, only to be chased off like the weaklings they were.

“ Acceptance to this pack, is only for the strongest of mind, spirit and flesh, by the looks of it your rather weak in all three of these attributes.” She spoke in a stern, unyielding tone of authority. Her eyes looking over the two, the male remaining silent for a moment though appearing wanting to speak up. He seemed to be assessing the situation as much as she herself was. She smirked a bit, the fae could be killed off, though this one. This one brute just may make a decent general to her army. Calculating, assessing, and maybe, just maybe cunning. Qualities she always needed besides brute strength in her pack. A coy grin came over her as she flicked her tail royally about her graceful paws. Standing with guards upon either side of her form, she appeared a queen among the earthy den of hers.

“ Tell you what. If you two can travel through Grey Paw lands, and make it to the forests of the Orion’s. There you will find the porcupines with the hardest quills around. Collect no less then a hundred of the sharpest. If you come back alive, and with -exactly- what I asked for. You two will be allowed to remain, and be placed in the scouting division under the lead Quella.” She spoke, to most her maw seeming unchanged, though to those who knew her. They would certainly suspect she had a bigger plan going on.

“The Orion’s! We will certainly be captured by the Grey’s before we make it half way across!” The female yelped pathetically as Rory merely smirked at the females fear. The scent reminded her of the lovely battle fields she tended to stroll in excitement. It was definitely a scent she had acquired and breathed in like a beloved perfume. Though of course not befitting for any wolf that would remain in her pack. No, if they returned…. The female would encounter a ‘accident’, and she would have the brute for her use in the end. They would need more soldiers for the impending attack on the Grey’s, for those foolish heathens were getting too big for their britches as of late.

“ Then Shaamah himself will kill you and your blood won’t be on my paws. I’m fair in my own way, you can back out now though, of the task I have offered….” She spoke. Her soldiers moving forward, growling as saliva started to drip from their snarling maws which contorted in a moments notice from the nodd of their leader. Fangs bared they bowed for the killing blow should the two dare to run.

“ Though then your blood will be on my paws so to speak.” She smirked simply as if she was having a mere chat about the weather at that moment. Letting the two decide what they wanted to do. Die now or to die later. All in all either way the weak would be weeded out in the end. Her eyes once more flashed to the large male out of the siblings. She would have to consult Giderah on this one’s beloved future….. if he survived that is.

Oooo.. I liked that one - tho eefill.... Haha! She knows darn well a wolf can't pick porcupine quills without getting the poop knocked out of them. I got a good laugh out of that. Good show - Glad you posted your's Snow, now I don't feel alone >.>;;.

Thanks XD I figured in the end she would be actually testing the male more then the female. Seeing what he would do to go about collecting the quills since it would not be a simple task. Not mentioning that they would have to sneak cross two pack lands undetected. >.> If they accomplished that then certinly they would be worthy of the Red Paws. Though Rory probally still wouldn't be too happy with the female unless she pulled something amazeing to change her mind XD.

<.< She would probally set her up to be killed by the Grey Paws to gain the brothers loyalty to 'avenge' his sister Very Happy

Since you know revenge breeds the perfect fighters against a common enemy. XP

Why do you want to RP this character?
Although not much has been revealed about her in the comic, from what I've read here at the forum, Rory is an absolutely captivating character. I've always been a fan of the strong and agressive types of characters and I've been a long time player of characters like that. Many have even told me I have quite a knack for roleplaying "evil" and "mean" personalities. That being said I believe I'll roleplay Rory as intended to the best of my abilities, she is an amazing character and already great fun to rp. Writing up the sample post was awesome! I am very fond of stirring up exciting plots and keeping things on the move. It's definately no fun when a thread is just sitting there for no good reason at all.

Sample post as character:
Sprawling forth as far as the eye could see was a battlefield marred in blood and the fallen. Everywhere the delectable aroma of war danced upon the softly churning air, the distant roar of thunder rumbling across the bruised and broken red sky, the inevitable night seemingly afraid to chase away the waning light of dusk as the Red Paw Queen walked the scene. With Giderah at her right and her trustworthy advisor Shae to her left, an entourage of Elite soldiers at her back and the tumultuous forces of her incorruptible army marching behind them, she stepped up upon a massive boulder and stared down at the ranks of the opposing forces advancing toward them. Directed at her loyal followers her voice poured forth clearly with unbridled might and delighted fury, her head held high with a beguiling smile on her face as she swept her gaze across the mounting forces drawing nearer and nearer. "Red Paws! These filthy creatures of the swamp dare to oppose me! ME! The rightful ruler of all of Ariox!" A chorus of excited howls and cheering rose up from the ranks of the Red Paws, the Elites remaining steeled and focused while Giderah and Shae stood silently at her sides on the ground below. "Make these savages rue the day they opposed me! Make them drop to their bellies beg for a swift death! We are Red Paws! LET US SHOW THEM WHY!!" She took a step forward and turned her maw to the sky, letting out a sky-shattering howl of attack before leaping from the boulder and advancing on swift paws.

She ran at the head of her pack with Giderah at her side, his monstrous form eclipsing her own only in size, for it seemed her fury was sometimes even greater than that of a god. The Grey Paws threatened her view of the future, her rightful destiny and thus that of her pack. Such an insufferable act made her blood boil, no one would stand in her way and she would vanquish any foe who dared to even think of crossing her. Darting and weaving past a few early advancing wolves from the opposition she advanced on her target, none other than the fool Shaamah himself who barreled in full force straight toward her. When they clashed all at once the fighting around them seemed to melt away and many wolves, ally and foe, parted to give the two mighty alphas room as they turned to watch what would surely be an epic clash of titans. Shaamah was indeed a force to be reckoned with, his size alone quite an obstacle, but she was ready for him. In the months spent biding her time she had learned well from their last battle and she would not allow Giderah to steal her chance at ending the miserable Grey Paw's life once and for all. Jaws snapped and gnashed together as they wrestled upright chest to chest a moment, at last pushing apart briefly only to rush at each other again. Rory evaded his swiping claws and deadly jaws this time, ducking slightly to get under him and in a lunge she went for his throat. The force of him coming down upon her jaws and her steeled form pushing upwards was enough to shatter the beast's larynx, and she held on tightly as he trashed about in slight, suffocating to death. With a deep and mighty growl of victory she shoved her vanquished foe to the side and released another colossal howl into the air, lightning racing overhead as the heavens seemed to join her in rejoicing with a roar of thunder. The Red Paws that weren't still engaged in combat joined in, and even the deafening howl of Giderah rose up into the nearing night.

Then all at once everything was silent, the world and her victory faded away into darkness until finally all she could see was black nothingness. Waking with a start she jerked her head up from the cool stone of the cave floor and looked around a moment, narrowing her honey-gold sights at the small fire nearby before looking farther back into the depths of the cave, tracing the still sleeping form of Giderah out of the shadows. Rising to a seated state she moved her neck in a stretch, popping the joints a few times before coming to a stand and shaking out her well kempt blood red coat. Staring at the fire once again she replayed the events in her mind, it was all a dream. She had not slain that insufferable beast Shaamah and those wretched Grey Paws still lurked the swamps, threatening her future of a land united under her rule. Releasing a furious snarl she swung a paw at the small pile of wood kept nearby to feed the fire, shattering many of the pieces and sending shards flying this way and that. Not even bothering to speak with Giderah she stormed out of the cave and halfway down the slope, easily picking out Shae from the assortment of Red Paws dappling the realm before her. He approached her with two foreign wolves, a father and daughter it looked like, and at once she regained her composure and let a venomous smile ease to her maw. "What have you brought me Shae?" She waited patiently for her advisor to speak, filtering out his little tick of inserting an 'ahh' into his sentences, he spoke of them wanting to join the Red Paws and her assumption was correct. It was a father and daughter who appeared to have come out of nowhere, as they did not reek of any of the neighboring packs.

She studied the male closely, he was in the prime of his life with a strong and formidable build. Although he was taller than her he held his head lower and looked down respectfully, this she liked. Smiling devilishly she met his gaze a moment, searching his eyes for any hint of him hiding something before at last speaking. "You have the makings of a fine soldier, you're strong, but I will not accept just anyone into my ranks." She began to circle the male and his pup slowly, inspecting them like meat and devouring them with her eyes as she continued speaking. "We are the best of the best, bred for strength and war. Outsiders are not welcome here unless they have something worthwhile to offer.. So tell me, why should I even consider letting you join?" Once she stopped and stood facing him, she motioned for him to speak, and he calmly explained his worth to her and the pack. Nodding slowly Rory looked him over once more. "You're welcome as a soldier, provided you pass a simple test." The Queen's calculating gaze moved down to the pup at that moment and she addressed the male despite her gaze being focused on the little quivering girl. "Your daughter is weak. She cowers at your feet, panting heavily although she has only walked up a small slope." The male attempted to explain but Rory's piercing gaze shot up and met his own again, he silenced himself immediately. "No one may procreate without my prior consent, and even then I only accept the strongest pups from their litters." She peered down at the male's daughter once more and snorted at the whimpering fae, who yelped in fright and crept further behind her father's large paws. Looking back at the male, Rory let a wicked smile ease to her face. "I'll make this brief and simple. Either kill her and join my pack, or you both die. Your decision..." She motioned for Shae to remain with them and see just what the stranger would choose, soon turning away with a laugh and ascending the slope back toward her den as her Elite soldiers closed in about the male and his pup.

(( I hope that wasn't too long, it wasn't supposed to be but I was having a lot of fun writing for Rory. There is some minor powerplaying during the fight but I can assure you it's only because I'm rping with myself. If it were a real fight with Shaamah I would have Rory's actions be vastly open-ended and obviously the fight would last longer. It was a dream after all. XD ))

Why do you want to RP this character? Well i've always been interested in finding out more about Rory, and this is a good opportunity to get in depth with the character and portray her to my best ability. Also, i love evil people, i mean GOD. I'm obsessed with them, and i make a good evil person xD

Sample post as Character:

'...how to take over?' said Rory to herself. She was staring off into the distance as she usually would do. She had been asking herself the same question for days on end. Something told her there would be a resistance to her reign as queen as she would take over. This was her destiny. Why would anybody stand in her way? She would never know.

Rory looked down and caught sight of a few cubs romping about playing their own little game. 'they should be training...hunting. Being taught to fight! this is no time for games!' the time for her to rule the world was drawing near, and she needed all the strength she could get if she wanted to achieve her destiny.

Even if she still didn't know what she was going to do. She would find a way, and she would prevail, just as she did not too long ago. That plan took her some time to think up, most things take a second for her find the answers to. She was brilliant and everyone knew it. There was no one that could outsmart Rory. Oh no.

She wondered if shaamah were preparing. 'hmph. probably not-' suddenly two quarreling wolves bolted past her. They were furious at each other for some reason, but the only thing important now was that they had interrupted Rory's quiet time. They would have to pay a price.

"YOU-" Rory said in a low, frightening growl. She approached the nearest wolf and lashed out a him with a speed he could not keep up with. Her sharp claws had already cut into his eye when he tried to block the blow. He yelped and whimpered as Rory beat him to a pulp. She was everywhere at once, he had no time to protect himself. He was helpless.

she finally finished with him and looked at the other wolf. "you wanna end up like him?" she snarled.

"no, mi'lady. we didn't mean to-" started the wolf. ROry had batted his right ear with a force that ripped the fur off it. The wolf's ear was torn to ribbons. He cowered and ran from Rory's fury, as did the badly beaten wolf underneath her. now they knew never to cross her path again when she was in the midst of thought about how she was going to take over the world.

This was the Red Paws Pack. No mercy was to be given from Rory.

NOT TO MENTION! you guys did not make this easy for me at all! These posts were all so wonderful and I really respect the effort you guys put into getting into the character. Seriously I fretted over this for a very long time, I wish I had multiples Rory's

The person I have chosen for Rory, if she wishes to accept, is Snowrunner. I just could not get over how similar her style and sample were to how I actually imagine Rory. Her example of a test for a new wolf really impressed me as something that could be a legitimate test that would be so my fun to rp! <3
